Just had my biggest online win.

I signed up to paddy power poker on Monday night and entered a $3 feeder satellite. Spent $9 in total with one rebuy and topup.

Tonight I played the grand final which was a 200+10 rebuy event.
There were 135 players with 3 tickets up for grabs (value = $12k)

Twas tough but I hung in there with a very short stack midway through the event to get my ticket.

    Vegas here I come..

Congrats, that's a massive result. Now all you have to do is beat 4000 players and retire for life. Well done again.

Why are you posting this? I feel you are being very irresponsible.
Don't you realise your great result will inspire the rest of us to continually do the same and as a result I will probably loose my house in the process.

Seriously it is brilliant news and be sure to keep all of us informed on how you get on.

Yeah excellent work! Whats your username there?

I was playing the same tourney - qualified through an STT Feeder
only managed to come 80th of 135 though.

Never really got going and had my 6/7 all-in called by AK to send me packing.

Thought the tourney itself was a bit rough though. You only got 2000 chips
for 200 quid and the blinds went up fairly fast so a not a great amount of play.

Are you keeping the ticket and going to Vegas yeah?

I'll give you a fiver for it.

Thanks for the good wishes everyone.
I play under the name pokernikus on Paddy Power.
I have a bit of a dilemma - just realised that the date for the main event clashes with my brother's wedding on July 8th!
Hopefully I'll be able to play one or two of the smaller events instead or just cash out but that would be unethical IMHO.

    Can see the conversation
"Buv, you know I love and respect you"
    Yes
"Well how you like xx% (insert number) of any winnings I manage in the WSOP
    instead of a wedding present?"
Hmm tempting, how much could that be?
"Well could be a couple of hundred grand!"
Sounds good but why are you telling me now
"Cause I'm not going to your wedding!"

    Well done mate.
    Now the bad news.
You have a bit of a problem if you can't go, most sites will not let you transfer the first seat you win for an event. I would check the small print as soon as you can. The only instance I have heard where they have refunded someone the cost of the seat is when a guy's wife was struck down with cancer after he had won it. Another site he also won a seat for an event refused to do anything for him.
I hope for your sake Paddy Power are understanding, maybe Dev will put in a word for you !
If you have a common name you may be able to sell it to someone with the same name. All american events you have to show photo ID so you can't sednd someone else.
If you do go best of luck. Have no fear and play your usual game.

    Congrats! Excellent stuff...

Remember, your brother can get married lots of times, but this may be your only chance at the WSOP! :D

Am I the only one who would be selling in this in less than the amount of time it takes to shout "Sell out!"?
