It has become increasingly clear that football is becoming less and less of a physical game. It's especially apparent in European competition.

On numerous occasions we see players blatently diving and winning free-kicks.
Also there are challenges which players genuinely getting fouled but could stay on their feet, but throw themselves to the ground to make sure.

But, it is creeping into the Premiership also.

How strict will refs get before something is done, if anything?

Referee's need to reward players who stay on their feet; Maybe, in a 50/50 decision whether to give a free or not, the ref should take into account if the player tried his best to stay on his feet.

Also, the issue of players who get fouled but grab the ball on the ground before the ref has given the free should be eradicated.

Who would be a ref? With their every decision disected and scrutinised by saturation media coverage. It's a thankless task not helped by players deliberately cheating to try and get fellow players punished.
