    From ADSLguide.org.uk

"Northern Irelands broadband coverage has been moving along a pace. Currently around just 1.5% do not have access to a broadband service. In fact Northern Ireland is the first region outside of London to have all its BT exchanges upgraded to support ADSL. More details are at BBC News Online.

The aim for the region is 100% coverage by the end of 2005, the plan is to make use of wireless broadband to fill in the coverage black spots. Figures suggest that the region has around 150,000 broadband users and this level is still growing. The number of households in the region is 626,718 (taken from 2001 census), so suggests an uptake of around 23%."
