Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    An odd one here. I'm trying to track down a particular 'movie guide' book that I had more than 10 years ago but I can't for the life of me remember what it was called. I lost it (ie read 'lent it to someone and never got it back') and recently I've been eager to get my hands on another copy as it was the first review book I ever had and was my first real eye-opener to the big world of 'cinema' outside summer blockbusters.

    Anyway, Basic description :
    ===============================================
    Paperback

    500 pages approx

    Yellow cover with large red lettering for title

    Page size was A4 height but wider than A4 (almost square but not quite). Imagine a phone book.

    4,000-ish reviews

    Max rating of films was 4 stars

    3 columns per page (I think?)

    Small b/w photos nested in the columns next to review.

    All reviews were of films from 1990 or earlier (so I guess it was prob published as a video companion 1991-92.
    ===============================================

    I ate thru this book like Dustin Hoffman in rainman and inadvertently learnt off info on many films I'd
    (1)never seen at the time, (2)others that still haven't seen since (3)and more again that I probably never will see.
    so it's ironic now that I can't even remember the title/author but there you go! :)

    I know it's a longshot but if anyone else here has/had a book fitting that description could you please tell me what it's called in order to help me track it down.

    Thanks.
