Ed Walsh has an article in the Sunday Business post proposing three specific items measures aimed at ensuring Ireland’s long term success.

    1. Change the electoral system over to a list system, in the hope this might stimulate the political system into taking a more longterm, and less local, view.

    2. Revisit the possibility of linking regional cities with motorway standard roads.

    3. Aim to get all universities rated as being in the global top 100, and one in the top 10.

It all seems sensible to me.
