Has anyone heard of Noise Killer spray? Apparently it is used by modders to dampen vibration.

    Hey MrPudding :D

I've never heard of anything you can spray on your floor/inner pannels to dampen vibrations. If you're looking for something to reduce the noise in your cabin, I would suggest you ask around Motor Factors and car audio specialists if they'll sell you a product called 'Brown Bread Sound Dead'.

I know it's a stoopid name, but bare with me it's great stuff! It only requires a heat gun, it's really easy to do yourself, and it's cheap.

Also, if u have any old carpet lying around put some of it under your car's own carpet, as extra sound deadening.

Cheers for the response. It is not actually for my car, I am building a rack for AV equipment and this stuff is recommended for coating the undersides of the shelves. It's primary use however, is for dampening in car modding. Check out this link:

Apparently it work wonders for door panels and stuff like that.

Spray-on body shutz (from any auto factors) would do the trick as it leaves a rubbery film and dries in a few hours. I use polyurethane foam to sound deaden panels in cars but it goes very hard and is very messy to work with.

any noise killer in spray can is crap with exception of body shutz which is sprayed with specially gun and gives nice coat.

most of the real industrial noise killer paints are applied by roller or special spray gun. I have used the paint before with roller and it does work(stops some vibration too)

as per polyurethane foam it could be applied in some places but generally will keep moisture in your car as prevents air circulation it also squeaks if applied in certain areas.

    paint is better choice

I believe the Noise Killer is also available to roll on. The spray would be handy for me given what I will use it for. Moisture and squeaking will not be an issue.

I do not have a spray gun, where could I get body shutz applied and how much would it cost?
