Was messing around with my digibox today and managed to find the pre-launch home of The Poker Channel on the Sky Digital Platform.
There's not much being shown at the moment other than an amateurish looking "preview" in a loop, but I'm guessing launch must be fairly imminent.

Anyway, if you want to take a look, hit "services" on your remote, select "system setup" and then "add channels".
    Details are:
    Frequency 11.527
    Polarisation V
    Symbol Rate 27.5
    FEC 2/3
Then hit "find channels", you will get a list of about a half dozen channels, the one you want is called "50315" for some reason. Add that channel and then view through the "other channels" section in "services".

It's now appearing under entertainment as a channel so I assume it's free.

IThis starts on Wednesday night I just had a quick look at their first day or two and it looks good...a documentary on Rory Liffey were he goes to an armature's house and gives him a few tips then they play online.

They also have program on the paddy power open.

    Its looking good.

The show where they will send a pro into an online players house to help him in an MTT looks very good.

The only drawback of this channel is the fact that at the start of every program we will have to endure the noob's guide to Holdem, button, flop, betting and all that. Its gotten to the stage now where that really annoys me.

i know they are only showing previews but when i select the channel the picture is broken up and sound isn't on either, anyone else have this problem?

Nope havent had that problem at all.

    FYI Karlhoff
The button is a white disc that is passed around the table in clockwise order. The button is used in games where there is a single or casino dealer. The button identifies the player as the ‘dealer’. It is still important that play continues as if each player is dealing cards.

Cards are dealt beginning with the player to the left of the button, and ending with the player who has the button in front of him. When the hand is over, the button is moved one spot clockwise for the start of the next hand.
