Right, I've a lot to get through today in this month's edition of Adam's
Biannual Quarterly, so I'll get straight down to this week's business...

OFFICE SHARE
------------
The Daddy is trying to get me to move into his building in town, so I'm
looking for people to share the office space. The office is nicely located
on Kings Terrace (just after McCurtain Street) and has two rooms that'd fit
four desks comfortably. I'll be getting broadband in, and WLL should be
possible from Penrose Wharf if necessary later. Probably best suited to
techies, but whatever. Rent negotiable. Email for more details, like, today.

COMP 4 SALE
-----------
Buy mammy or daddy a rig. Gateway Select 1000, 1GHz AMD Athlon, 768MB RAM,
38GB + 19GB HDD, CDROM, CD-RW, 14" Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse. Obviously not
the most modern of processors, but the RAM make it a great box for heavy
office work. Served me well anyway. No idea what video and sound cards are
in it, but they won't be crap and again, it's not a gaming rig anyway. No
idea what to ask for it either, make me an offer.

PINTS FRIDAY
------------
Last month's beers went surprisingly well, given that I screwed up the pub
again, what with the Lobby being closed an' all. However it seems the
after-work-on-friday-thing appeals to more people so I've arranged pints
again for this Friday in the Phoenix. I'll be there from about 5pm so if
you're around after work, pop in. We'll be discussing the next item for the
first hour or so, but you can just pretend you don't know us for a while.

WIPT
----
There's been some discussion on the Cork Linux User Group mailing list about
an open source web-based frontend to the standard Linux firewall, iptables,
and we're looking for contributors. In particular we need iptables experts
on board, but any kind of contribution is welcome, from frontend and
usability to documentation, programming and systems. If you're interested,
have a read off the obviously-title threads here and jump in anytime.

Can't find a site for it but it's two doors down from the Lobby. Reckon it'll be fairly quiet tonight, so far only three people have confirmed.

Wouldn't mind popping along for a bit anyway, although my limited experience of drinking with CLUG types has been that it's fun once everyone's hammered because they revert to acting like 10 year olds and run around ringing doorbells & then hiding, etc.

Myself and 2-3 others will be there at 6pm anyway. I think I've posted a photo before, but you can't miss me anyway, I'm a large blonde gentleman that'll either be wearing a Homestar Runner hoody or a geeky tshirt. I'm so stylish.

Haven't got any decent photos online, but - medium height, brown hair, wearing a black hoodie or a BOFH t-shirt. Probably the latter since it'll make me easily identifiable.
