Just in case anyone is interested, the longest race that will be held in Ireland this year will be on in the Phoenix park on Saturday 2nd April when the Annual Anglo Celtic Plate 100Km race takes place in Ireland. It'll take the form of 37 laps of a circuit a bit under 2 miles in length.

You won't see this type of race (Classic distance Ultra) in Ireland very often, so its a rare opportunity to look at the lunatic fringe of distance athletics in Ireland pushing themselves to the limit!

Its limited Entry (45 people, including internationals). If anyone is seriously interested ring Maurice Mullins at 01-8490054. You'd need some good distance running experience to be allowed enter. 30 Euro entry fee. Race starts at 8:00am. It could be won in about 7 hours.
