Looking for suggestions on good driving music.
What cd's never leave your car?

Here are some of the tunes i listen to religiously while driving,

Samantha Fu - Theme from Disco ****
    Radiohead - My Iron Lung
Prodigy - Smack My Bitch up ***
    Missy Elliot - Work It
    Limp Biskit - My Way
    The Killers - Mr. Brightside
Gwen Stefani - What You Waiting For
Drowning Pool - Let The Bodies Hit The Floor!! ****
Disturbed - Down With The Sickness ***
    Destiny's Child - Soldier ****
    Ciara - Goodies
    Beenie Man - Dude
    Anything by Daft Punk
    Anything by Chemical Brothers
    Anything by DMX

    * P.S: Some of these songs have the fantastic, yet DANGERIOUS side-effect of causing you to want to drive at uncontrolable speeds. Always listen to with caution ;) *

Underworld is great, esp. as I see you are into Chemical Brothers. Very good and you can pretend you are in a Wipeout hovercraft (only applicable if you are in the Jack Lynch tunnel in Cork though).

For city driving at night time, I recommend SNoop Dogg and Xzibit. It captures the city feel superbly. SNoops' new R&G The Masterpiece is excellent for driving around town as it keeps you awake and you don't take **** from pedestrians.

Actually, there is only one song that sticks out above all, for hot summer days, with the window rolled down.

Incubus - Summer Romance (Anti-Gravity Love Song).

    It cannot be beaten.

I recommend listening to something soothing, like Lyric FM. The roads are bad enough as it is without getting yourself in a lather listening to the 'Ace of Spades'.

Ever drive to the company of frank, dean and sammy? In the right mood it absolutely cannot be beaten

Apart from that I am in the middle of a rap/hip-hop phase which is pretty cool

*me folds arms and sternly asks "whats this got to do with Motors?"!*

I like to tap my right foot to Slayers Reign in Blood er thats a complete lie. I have loads of tapes full of olde worlde rock from Radio Caroline and European Classic Rock (rip) plus I feed a number of internet streams to tape. Mainly chill-out stuff from N-Joy and Chilled Beats (both live365) they're exellent and
really help keep the driving and driver on an even keel. :)

    Mike.

Alien Ant Farm - Smooth Criminal (esp for mr jackson)
Alkaline Trio - She Took Him to The Lake (love this song, dunno why)
Billy Talent - Try Honesty (good screaming along fun)
Blink 182 - The Rock Show (plain good old fashion fun)
Blink 182 - Violence (stunning drum work as usual)
Feeder - Just a Day (plain good old fashion fun part 2)
Frank Black - Thalassocracy (just a plain scream of a song)
Green Day - Desensitized (smashup start, great stuff)
Green Day - Nice Guys Finish Last (plain good old fashion fun part 3)
Girl Wants (to say goodbye to) Rock And Roll (http://www.gohomeproductions.co.uk/mp3.html) (great mix this)
Pixies - Head on (for obvious reaons)
Placebo - Brick Sh!thouse (bounces around the speakers, class)
Placebo - Bruise Pristine (great corus, driving bass line)
Prodigy - Smack My Bitch up (rarrr etc)
System of a Down - Chop Suey (daft fun)
The Cult - She Sells Sactuary (all time classic guitar riff)
U2 - Bad (Live) (awesome, extreme loudness needed, the start always makes hairs on the back of my neck stand up)

Damn straight. Nice and mellow while navigating rindabites.

    Theme from the Magnificent Seven.

I must confess to having a liking for listening to crap 80s pop while driving. There, I've said it.
