Granted, small get together would be great, you just pop it out and thee you go. But they wont come easy and always.
Waiting at the bus stop, 10 minutes lets say, would you want to play something complex like metal gear solid ? id rather play wario ware touched if even that.
Which is why i think psp , total gadget land, very impressive none the less, i still want to get both, but i dont see myself actually using them for their actual purpous.
Another factor is the rain, i guess you can play it on your way to town in the bus !
Also, psp out in town ? robbed ? ive heard alot of stoies about ipods !

    just a thought.

being stolen was just a small point, i was just wondering where exactly does the hand held come into place, outside the house, my train journey is 10 minutes max.

I'll be using mine promarily as a source of amusement while travelling, there's only a certain amount of times you can stare out the window from portarlington to carlow before it becomes repetitive.

My bus trip is about 40 min so its perfect for an episode of family guy and a game of Lumines :D

And the suspend button on the PSP is a god send. When ever I get close to my stop just flick the swith mid game then I can finish when I get to college.

I play my DS on the bus, when it's not packed though.

30 minute game of Super Puzzle Fighter Turbo II does wonders in spurring you up in the morning.

The DS is fairly big and unweildly, while the PSP is just too damn precious to take out where theres a risk of anything happening to it. I mainly play them in college, they're fantastic for that, and if I went on long, comfortable bus journeys rather than short, squeezed Dublin Bus journeys then I'd use them for that but right now I wouldnt dare risk taking out my PSP or trying to use a DS on a Dublin Bus. Certainly not on the 27!

    what IS super puzzle fighter?

anyway, yea alright i see where he is comin from with the whole small quick go of a game on handhelds but ill be honest, im hopin thats not what either will be about! i mean i lay in bed for about 6 hours one night playin the minish cap and played it every day for about a week on the bus in and out of college until i finished it. i mean i played the longer bits in bed but did all the fusing kinstones and stuff on the bus and played sometimes when bored in class. thats what i want. not just a gimmick thing.

It takes 1 hour for me to get into town in the morning. A good book or a handheld is a godsend. Play my handhelds in bed sometimes.

I play my Handheld , whenever I am just waiting for somethin. usually I get travel sick on buses if I play for more than 30mins. Depends on the game though.

I have only recieved looks on buses, don't really worry about it being taken tbh, and I get the 13. If there are a bunch and dip****s on the bus, I won't crack it out, but generally, It's fine.

Yep, for college, it's great. Been playing Madden a LOT during college!

GBA Capcom puzzle game featuring big-headed versions of their fighting roster (think Pocket Fighter mixed with Columns). It's better though, and well addictive.

I play my DS in the same places I've always played my handhelds: on the bus. I get 2 buses to college every morning, I've played handhelds on the bus pretty much every day since I started in college. The only thing I really worry about with the DS is losing my stylus, and the little knackers that do be on the 49 sometimes.

when i was in ireland, i played my GBA on the DART (or bus) over an hour (round trip) every day.

now i'm in dallas, and no-one's here heard of public transport ;) but i still get plenty of use out of my GBA. I take it everywhere with me and whip it out even for just a couple of minutes at a time. There are little 5-minute pockets of time all over the day. You just have to look out for them :)

Of course, it helps that i haven't lived here long enough or socialised enough yet to make a decent amount of friends ;)

Whenever i go from sligo to dublin, or sligo to limerick [3&1/2 and 4+ hours respectivly with time added for any number of stupid reasons] i have my GBA and Harvest Moon.
Kills time like nobodies business, but is nice that you can just pick it up from where you left off with minimal fuss and no trying to remember what your meant to be doing.
