Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

dont think you can get rid of the others but favourites you can. click start-settings-taskbar and startmenu and then the start menu tab and then click customize, You can do a fair few things to your start bar here, including removing favourites

    try this

Right-click on an empty area of the taskbar, choosing "Properties".

When the "Taskbar and Start Menu Properties" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, select the "Start Menu" tab.

    Click the "Customize" button.

The "Customize Start Menu" multi-tabbed dialog box should appear. Select the "Advanced" tab.

Underneath "Start menu items", uncheck "Help and Support".

Click "OK" on the dialog boxes to close them.

that will only work if you've got XP and have the start menu set to the new start menu rather than classic start menu

Right click on the Start button and click Properties brings up the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties in both forms of the start menu

judging by his picture he is using classic start menu.

i suggest you google and download tweak UI made by microsoft.

when you open that program, click on explorer and it will give you a lot of different tweaks that you can use. you're interested in the first one

    "allow help in start menu"

i'm not sure how you get rid of search though.
