Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have a PTI wireless modem router. PTI-840G if anyone's interested. anyway i can't enable wep on it. i go into the settings and generate a wep key and check the enable wep checkbox but when i save and restart its unchecked again. if i check it again and click restart again it says no changes. i've set it up to deny all MAC addresses except my NICs so its still fairly secure but i'd still like to enable it. Any ideas from you good ppl?

I've read that spoofing MAC addresses from an unencrypted WLAN is not as hard as you might think. Read this excellent FAQ about Wireless Home Networks. If you don't trust the source, have a look at this Microsoft article on Wireless Security, and you'll find out that even WEP is quite poor, and you should use IPsec, VPN or other encryption mechanisms instead of relying on WEP alone.

    Cheers,
