There was a debate today on RTE one with regards to the documentary on Channel 4 by Andrew Gilligan about torture.
Apparantly the two jets involved in the transportation of the people to countries for torture regularly stop over in Shannon for refueling.
One of the antiwar protesters feautured in the debate stated thay he had made an offical complaint to gardai about the illegel transportation of people for the purposses of torture through our juristiction but nothing had been done.
From the discussion it also appears that the justice minister knows that these jets stop in Shannon and indeed the FF TD for Clare was on the show more or less defending the actions of the US.

Considering how morally superior the Irish establishment has become in recent times surely they (Ahern, Harney ect.) must be suffering sleepless nights over their failure to take action on this issue?
