    Heterosexual Females are the demographic with the highest rate of infection and they are, with few exceptions, immigrants from sub-saharan africa. Take non-national people out of the equation and Irish Homosexual Males have the highest rate. Let's not delude ourselves.

    People get blood test for those things, which screan for HIV? 18 - 25 tends to be when irish females get pregnant, as a result they are tested for a varity of things including HIV. Thats the point I was making.

    what you are saying is that they are the demographic most likely to be tested for HIV, and therefor, they will have more positive results, but not nessecarily more cases per '000?
