Eircom Phone Book 1580 Scam

    Despite all the media attention about 1580 scams, trust Eircom to blithly ignore all of this. What do I find tucked into my New Phone Book. One of those sodding rip-off scratchcard. Oh, look I've won a Lotus Elise!!!!, or one of these fabulous prizes!!

    Bastards.

    To be fair to eircom they no longer publish the phonebook. Goldenpages Ltd took over responsibility for the directory and its commercialisation in 1998 all eircom do is provide the white pages directory content to them for a large fee.

    Eircom sold off their interest in Golden Pages. It's now owned by World Directories who are based in the Netherlands and publish similar directories in Belgium, Netherlands, Portugal, South Africa and elsewhere.
