Talk to the Housing Department in your local council. Such housing tends to be allocated on need rather than desire. You are likely to need some link to the area you are looking for (family, work, have lived there, etc.)

Search for "affordable" and "shared ownership" on this forum.

i'm in the procese of starting just need a bit more cash. what i was asking was to talk to someone who has done it! see what the good bits and bads bits for them where. personal touch.
