    Hi all Im off to New York next week and was wondering does anyone no is the DS region specific?Could I bring it back here and use Irish games on it?Also anyone no how much it is over there?

    It's not region specific.
    Check out www.bestbuy.com for price, they're fairly good and i doubt you'd get it anywhere else much cheaper.
    You'll be able to buy games from anywhere for it.
    One thing that won't work, is the cable for recharging but you can buy a replacement GBA SP recharger here for about 9.99 and that will work just fine.
