Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

We were shocking for most of the match, the two goals apart. Should have done much better though. Still, if we had been given a penalty at the very start (a decent shout for one) after downing looked to be tripped, then this game could have turned out much differently.

At least we have something to fight for in the second leg and could possibly have a rake of players back (including viduka, boateng and parlour).

The atmosphere was very poor at the riverside before the goals went in,has it always been that bad?

Its very cold up there :)
Normally the atmosphere is pretty good, but lately with results and performances being quite poor, the crowd were probably quite down about being 3-0 down. I know i was.

Thought it was decent up to half-time though.

Actually recorded the goals off the news. No sound and not great compression but it was kind of a spur of the moment thing.

    The middlesbrough game (7.5mb xvid)
    The newcastle game (8mb xvid)

Will probably take them down in a day or two so get em while theyre hot. The job goal was fantastic though (boros first goal) as was roberts freekick for newcastle.
