Well its on BBC now so its true. Looks like another attack of the "I would just love it......." again :)

I suppose he is missing the relegation fight this season!

he was planning on leaving english football next season when his contract is up. Suprise his left at this time, and didnt wait till the end of this season at least. Something must of happened.

tis a shame, always like him as a manager, seemed very honest. Did wonders with Richard dunne aswell.

I claimed keegan would be sacked in my sig , does this count as a right prediction ?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 41,926 ✭✭✭✭_blank_

    Not likely Big Ears. :)

    He wasn't sacked.

But, you get half a point for predicting he would be out of a job.

[off topic]You need a new prediction for the eL, if I was you I'd leave it the same[/off topic]

So he's done it again. I work wit two city fans Usually thay are as quite as mice but I,ll have to listen to them whinging all day now.

Strachan would be a grat replacment to move them on, can;t see O Neill going there , i think he may have his sightss set on a different mancheter club.

The two predictions were made before they had any connection and now that it looks like we're in the last 8 of Uefa cup he won't get sacked .

I think thats it for footie for him!! will prob join BBC or Sky for TV work.....wat was his famous saying in the Euro's when England where playing Romania....I can only see England winning and they lost!! lol

Anyway as soon as he said he was leaving at the end of his contract his days where numbered......every manager that has said that is moved on as quick as possible......O'Neill wont take it.....40 mil in dept.....no money to buy players and Fowler/McManaman in your team......interesting read on Sporting Life that it is because of the Fowler signing and Bernstein quitting because the board took Keegans side instead of his was the downfall of Keegan and the club itself because up until then the club was run correctly without going in dept......

Not really when you think about it....they are in mid table....safe from relagation more or less.....no chance of getting into Europe....so why not change now....let the new manager have a look at what players he has so then he can make changes in the summer.....better now than in summer when everyone is on holidays so he has to wait till pre-season to see what he has available to him,.......good move in my opinion!!

is martin o'neil unhappy at celtic or what?
every time theres a mangerial position, hes linked to it

my money would be on strachan
i was gonna say houllier too, but after his 'quality' of football at liverpool...i'd doubt it

allardyce has done well at bolton...why would he move
    robson is too old

I reckon Strachan would be the only man for the job, but they should give Pearse til the end of the season at least.

Houllier has just been apointed head technical coach director or sumat to the Australian national team. Allardyce would never take a step down to manage City. Bobby Robson is a little too old at this stage to start managing again. I can't see Ranieri coming back to England, especially not to take charge of a club with crippling financial debt. I think Pearce has a super chance at getting the job, just as long as he pulls in a string of good results.

Off topic but there seems to be a few people not trusting Sky Sports news. :) I've never seen SSN give false information in my two years with Sky digital. They are the first for every bit of info on football and its basically the only reason why I'm holding on to Sky digital. :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,163 ✭✭✭Slash/ED

Yeah aside from the fact that SSN will decide any rubbish sport they have coverage of is big news, it's a superb channel. It's pathetic really, but I always get a buzz when I'm watching and the breaking news thingy flashes up wondering what it's going to be :D
is martin o'neil unhappy at celtic or what?

Not so much unhappy I'd say just thinking maybe he's brought Celtic as far as he can and since it seems like he wont have much money to spend there at all may want a new challenge. Plus at this stage it's easy to link his name to any job going.
