Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

im looking at lik-sang.com ! 30 for delivery. Do customs charge when bought of them AND is it best to get games 2gether ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,225 ✭✭✭Ciaran500

Customs will be charged on anything coming into the country. The only real way to avoid it is to get someone to mark the value down. If it gets lost in the post you will only get whatever value it is marked as.

I imported mien in form Playasia. I paid a little under 30euro for delivery [I think it was about 26 or 27] and a total of 76 euro in customs.

You only need to pay customs if you are importing something from outside the EU and if it has a value greater then 30 or 40 euro iirc. The only way to get past the import tax/customs would be to have the value on the package marked down and/or having it marked as a gift. However, if you mark it down and it gets lost in transport you will loose it as it is not correctly insured etc.

    wow ,
VAT: £ 40.23 (17.5% Includes ALL Import taxes, Nothing more to pay)

    turns out to be 400+

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,083 ✭✭✭carbsy

Don't forget that you have to pay VAT at 17.5% on top of the prices on GBAX!

Just buy it off ebay like I did - 330 yoyos for the value pack and ridge racers delivered to my door. :)

I saw one in peats a while back ... couldn't believe it

I don't know what price it was or if they really are selling them ... in fact it could have been made out of chocolat

    Mmmm chocolat

    sorry i'm no help whatsoever
Have you thought about a Nintendo DS ... I know psp will have lots of big name games like GTA and metal gear but the DS looks like it could have lots of really original titles and its available now

anywho .. i'll be going back into my little hole

Spank the monkey!! .. and remember the time you spent reading my post is non-refundable, it is now property of [InsertHandle]

Tbh, [InsertHandle]. PSP > DS tbh.

Placebo, if you dont want to import it without paying any import tax you will have to find somewhere which will mark it as a gift for you. Email the import websites asking if its possible and you will find out. Paying the import tax is annoying but thats one of the things about importing. I think in total (incl. Vat/Del) I pad a little over 420 or so. And it was well worth it :D

Getting it marked as a gift only works up to things of value about €40.

    EBAY.

I managed to get a value pack and Need for speed for €290 delivered from ebay.com.au I got it marked down as €35 and I paid no import duty.

    Great deal.

They're selling it for $349canadian. Thats about E209 when you convert the currencies. They send it through regular shipping instead of courrier and it may get through customs. Its the value pack as well btw.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,225 ✭✭✭Ciaran500

I think your being a bit unrealistic trying to find some where thats cheap, customs free and will provide you with a pixel check .
