Is there anyway to lengthen the delay for diverting to voicemail from 15 secs to say 30 secs, as I find 15 secs is not long enough?

    Thanks

No, o2 have all the divert settings locked on pre-pay.

If you are on prepay just ring 1747 and ask nicely

Don't know why Speak Easy / O2 Prepay is so restricted. They're the only network that lock out all of the extra functions like call divertion. They must have a fairly restricted / primative prepay billing system.

Nothing to do with that. They charge for voicemail. So when someone calls an o2 prepaid phone and it don't answer it diverts to voicemal meaning the call is completed and charged for and the receiver is charged to retreive the message.

It would mean a loss of revenue to allow directs to be altered or disabled.

    It's just their business model.

Both Vodafone and O2 also have chargable customer care numbers for prepay and free for bill pay.

Is voicemail free to listen to on vodafone prepay ?

It's free on Meteor's Anytime Plus prepay package.

    Yes it is.
Hence they don't feel the need to force all unanswerable calls to voicemail with is free anyway.
