starting to get in to this great witty and crazy

it's a brilliant show and it definelately within every poster of this board top3 prime time cartoon.

there's one thing i don't like about it is that sometimes it can go abit to far with the jokes and you can predict when they going to come up, other than that it's an amazing show.

If /anyone/any age/any sex/ sat down and watched a few episodes they would be an instant fan; it is simply that good

excluding the old/grumpy/deeply religious (they don`t count)

yeah. watched all the first season.
gonna start the 2nd season dvd tonight.
i remember seeing a bit of a difference in the simpsons after the 3rd season .
looking forward to it.
it cant possibly get any more insane .can it?lol

Season 2's not as good as season 3. There's too many musical numbers and jokes which go on too long. It's still really cool though.

season 2 has the chicken fight(Possibly the best action sequence ever) not to mention the da boom episode. best season 2 of any show!

Heard rumours that Fox un-cancelled it and they're making more, how true is that?

Have watched all 3 series on dvd back to back and would kill for more :-)

The chicken fight was indeed one of the best action sequences ever... enhanced further by the fact that that two minutes had nothing to do with the rest of the episode.

How can anybody not like it?

It pwns The Simpsons, Imo They should give the simpsons a yr or two rest and have a come back with some nice stuff instead of this new boring stuff.

Family guy is the best cartoon ever.

The one hwere Peter shows Chris his Irish heritige and it shows the man drinking and beating his wife and a woman praying and having babies.

This cartoon beats The Simpsons hands down! Much more funnier.
Remmember the one where Peter founds his own country and at the end the alien guy goes "Just one question, whats the story with the baby, i mean do the rest of the family understand him or what". Simply excellent.

Family Guy is brilliant, nough said.
I also spent a few weekends watching their entire series at my freinds house, must go out and buy them some day.

Family guy is excellent, but overall I prefer the Simpsons (later eps excluded).

Some things about Family Guy bother me, too much empty referencing, making pop-culture references purely for the sake of it. So Peter and Paddy Tanager the Caddy Manager start reciting a Calvin Klein ad for no reason... eh, that's not funny. At all. Stewie does the 'Rocket Man' video... amusing for ten seconds. A full minute is self-indulgence, and really, really boring. I like the way they drag jokes out but they over-drag them, too. And that cuts into repeat viewability like nobody's business.

But overall it's excellent, and I'm looking forward to season 4. A nice mixture of the stupid and the smart kinds of humour. Stupid = Peter falling over and hurting his knee running home in 'Wasted Talent'. Smart = Stewie having Chris announce 'Eviscerate the proletariat!' in, crap, can't remember the episode.

It was brillant! It has lost none of it's spark! Practically every scene in it worked... and was hilarious from parodies of

The Passion Of The Christ

to

The Blues Brothers

and a couple of slightly disturbing scenes including

Chris being spanked by Stewie

and

the Pinocchio scene

. MacFarlane is a genius! I say give up 'American Dad' and concentrate on more Family Guy.

i say ditch the simpsons and bring back futurama! it was great!! but stil family guy beats them all!

Yea I love Futurama it was replaced by Oliver BeIny(WTF!!) Theres room for all of them, anyway I couldn't pick any one over the other between Futurama, Family Guy, The Simpsons or South Park.

Anyone remember King of the Hill? That was the biggest load of crap ever, saw a bit of it the other day on RTE WTF?

Their sort of going over the top with Peter.. when he hurts himself of something like that where he goes on for about 2mins Ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch......

For me it was more like staring at the screen for about 5 minutes in horror and disgust perfectly imagining the experience, then laughing uncomfortably
