Yeah - Last years event had a huge turn out with over 140 classic cars and bikes on the day.

There was a €5 entry charge to the show - which covered parking and access to the cars and around 50 sales took place on the day.

This years event boasts a larger venue with extra parking - and you can also enjoy a carvery lunch in the hotel.

Special room rates are available in the hotel - So contact The City West Hotel on <01-401 0500> for details.

If you would like any further information with regards to this event - Please dont hesitate to contact Dermot on <01-6600622> or reply here.

is there an entry fee this year, again nothing stated on posters, there was a lot of people pi...d of last year, haveing to pay, when nothing was show on any posters,a bit of fair play i think ;)

Yes I was annoyed that there wwas no mention of a fee for punters just wanting a look. I understand the organisers have to make ends meet and arent interested in tyre kickers but it should've been made clear !

There was a huge turn out at Celbridge but I thought it was a tenner last time ? How much to enter a car ?

cant remember now think it was 40 or 50 euro,i sold my car on the day,if u where there it was the only mark 2 escort there ;) i dont c why people had to pay in to look, surly the cost off all the cars entered was more than enuf to cover there costs,i had a few mates call over with there familys on the day,try turning back when ur kids want to go in  some fair play thats all ;)

Dermot told me that the entry fee for one car is €50 but if you have more than one car the fee is €40 per car. :)
Still if there is a good turnout might be worth it. The weather will be the deciding factor as to a good day or bad as it obviously will be an outdoor event.
Should I bring my 72' Alfa Gt 1300 Junior or my 80' Mk 2 Escort 1.3L (4dr)

How much for escort? There's someone I'd love to have it - she drove a Mk2 with only one headlight for 8 years - she called it Moshe Dayan.

Im looking for €3,500 for it as I have spent a lot of money on it. I have just finished its nose job. It was fitted with round headlamps but these were the incorrect type for a 1980 model (Its a 1.3L) So I put a new front panel on it and found some correct square headlamps and grill (the grill is off my dads old Mk 2) Boy was it dificult to trace some good square headlamps with proper back mountings attached - but perseverence is a great thing (as well as liberal quantities of cash) and I eventually came up with this :)

Looking at the pictures it's worth every penny, but way out of my league. I was hoping for a €500 beater. Have you a site with your others? I'd still love a picture of the 'Sud.

I have no site but have posted them here before I think. I know they are the ebay photos but I have not really started to use the Sud on the road yet as I want to bring it up to Gerry Cambell of Ti Autos in Dublin to work his magic on it. There is nothing basically wrong with it - it is virtually rust free. But it was idle in a garage for 10 years and so does require a bit of tweaking for the road - more specifically to pass its NCT. Here are the pics anyway :)
