Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

well, japenese psp apparently plays REGION 1 , which is also the region used in europe , right?
So would it be better buying a japenese psp ? as USA one wouldnt be able to play movies bought from here, i know not many people would bother buying a UMB but still id rather an option be available.

    America uses Region1.
In Europe, Japan and the Middle East we use Region 2.

You would be better off importing the Japaneese version if you want to have the option of using UMD disc's for movies.

The only difference will be UMD movies and the posibility of a lower quality screen. But we will have to wait till launch to confirm that.

    oh region2, sorry.
also i dont think you will be able to play games LAN/online bought now[jap/usa] with the ones that are released here later[euro]

You might not be able to play games from different regions against each other. But the PSP will communicate to ones from different regions (I hope).

    Games are not region locked.

And so far, its mostly all speculation. I dont see how the games will be unable to communicate with each other and why they would do this. Both games would use the exact same system, the only difference is the user intergace which features a alternative language.

    No Euro date set.

It will be at least in the 3Q or early 4Q of the year.

You won't be able to play a multiplayer game of say Wipeout between a US version and EU version as the basic code is different - that's confirmed by Sony.

by the time psp euro comes out, all gamers with money will have the psp + 20 games.

    link?

I dont see why they would change the "basic code" of a game. Unless it is some way of imposing region coding on multiplayer. The "basic code" of the game would be the same reguardless of where it is bought I would believe, it would be stupidly expensive to change the "basic code" of all the games for different regions.
