Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Jaysus, you wouldn't be far off walking to Phibsboro from certain parts of D15. :)

no, im happy enough to he honest. Seems like UCD played well , at one stage I thought it was going to be a 1-0 result to UCD.

Pre season, I couldnt see Shels getting it together early on. I think there might be a 1 or possibly 2 more matches like this. A lot of new players fitting in, a few injuries and bookings as well.

    We played poorly, very poorly.

Four debutants, but still, we should have had the quality to see away one of the promoted sides.

Richie Baker played very well when he came on, and Gary O'Neill looks a good player, nice touch.

It was a definite penalty, so I don't know where "luck" comes in to it on that front, and it was well taken too.

For the whole match we had no-one covering the far post from corners, and that is what lead to their goal, shoddy defending.

Hopefully Finn Harps can do something similar on friday night.

Jaysus you'll struggle to find a better game to goto than Bohs v Rovers as an opener on friday. Historically it's probably the biggest rivalry in the league and it's Roddy Collins first return to Dalymount and all.

Shels' Collins in dock over dugout blunder
    17/03/2005 - 17:54:53

Shelbourne face an anxious wait after assistant manager Eamonn Collins took his place in the dugout, despite being suspended, for Wednesday night’s 1-1 draw with UCD.

Collins was banned from the dugout for two games effective from November 24 after being ordered off during Shelbourne’s clash with Cork City at Tolka Park in October.

The eircom League informed the club and released a media statement with all the details, but Collins was unaware of his suspension and took his place in the dugout as normal on Wednesday night.

The League will review the referees match report – which will list Collins as one of Shelbourne’s technical staff – before bringing the issue to the attention of the relevant body in the League.

While clubs have been deducted points for fielding suspended players in the past, there is no precedent for a manager or coach failing to adhere to a ban.

brutal. I hope they dont take to severe action. Not the best start to the season, but as Fenlon says we had lot of players out and UCD seemed well pysched up for the game. They cant deduct points or impose a fine for this FFS

You are right. That guy who used manage SPA is so insignificant there shouldnt be a problem.

That said, If another club did this, I somehow doubt Mr Byrne would be quite so understanding and accomadating.

Despite Bohs allowing Rovers to score a last minute equaliser i believe we`ll go well this year and will be pushing $hels all the way for the title ;)

PHB there are plenty of bohsfans on the southside, come to a Bohs match with me some night.

Shels will struggle this year if they get a bad start, already players are having problems with wages, getting paid a few quid here and there, if the setanta cup and europe dont go their way theyre down and out.

Colin Hawkins was one of Bohs worst players last year getting us knocked out of europe with the help of stephen kenny

Glen Crowe didnt try last year only stood there giving out to team mates, probably because he wanted out but he hasnt played good football in quite a while should take a while to settle in.

Bobby Ryan - potential but was never a first team player at bohs will run the ball to the cornerflag and either lose it or put a bad cross in
