Icon in addie bars?

Lo lo,
Just wondering if anyone knew how you can put an icon in the addie bar. Like you know the way the explorer or what ever one is there just beside the http:// bit.
I just noticed that some sites have it changed and it looks a lot more noticeable when its added to the favourites etc.

Oh and mmmmmm whats eircoms hosting like? are they strict on what ya put on or that?
I want a good host (not for porn, well mabye some naked ladies if i feel the urge) but at the same time i don't want people gettin ****ed off when a bit of *ahem* colourful lingo comes up or adult topics. Ya know just do not want censorship!

Create a 16x16 .ico file with only 16 colours. You can do this in either Paint or Paint Shop Pro. Name it favicon.ico and put it in the root directory of your site.

It only works for IE5, but you're right it's a nice touch.

i cant remember exactley how to do hte icon but its js i think but only works in ie for hosting are you looking for payed hosts or free ones? if payed goto recon-networks.com thats who i use they have great support, 99% uptime guarnatee and php/asp/cfm/perl and more or less every type of language you would want to use

if you do need some hosting i could set you up with a small account like gideon.damnyanks.com or whatever you want in the front you get php,asp,cfm and most db with it although i doubt i would be able to set you up with a dsn because i only get 2
