    From a 'not being from Laois' point of view, it looks like local politics gone mad(which normally means there's a good story behind it). It also seems to have done a fine job in p!ssing off just about every government and non-government body in the country.

    Perhaps you could give the local reaction.

    Alot of feathers have been ruffled.

    There are good and bad points to the plans.
