I am buying a car that has been imported from Japan but is currently sitting in London, so I need to get the car from London to the Liverpool port. Driving it is the most obvious idea but I cant see how I would get my hands on temporary plates and I dont think I'd last long on the public motorways without them. Has anyone…

Called one company so far about carrying it in a truck but for the 4 hour journey it was £400 sterling :eek:

Surely there is a better/thriftier solution than that?
