    here

    heh..one of todays papers had it down as MS' new handheld but it seems MS have done a deal to bring some of their games to this handheld.

    from todays paper ::
    specs:
    size: 5"x3"
    screen: 2.8"^2
    Battery Life: 100hrs standby : 12hrs music : 2 3/4hrs movie : 3-4hrs gaming.

    hmmm...prolly only gestimates at BL.

    competition is always good tho. :)

    are there any titles for the launch of this thing? From what I understand there is very little support for it

    iirc it said 10 initially but no names of games.

    Edge had a supplement about it a while ago and it looked vaguely interesting, but I reckon it's going to die a quick death. There were very few games in the pipeline for it and none of them looked particularly interesting.

    minority handhelds crop up all the time. In addition to the gamegear, n-gage and PSP, there have been numerous small-time challengers such as wonderswan (and WS colour), neogeo pocket (and colour version), gamepark, gizmondo, intellivision, nomad, etc. These products get virtually no advertising at all, especially in europe. It's not a surprise no one knows about them.

    Gizmondo certainly won't become a 3rd player in the handheld market. I doubt any rumoured tie-in with microsoft will make any difference to the fate of the product.

    Gizmondo will rock teh WORLD!!11!

    You really have to feel for these guys, it looks like a good machine, it has nice GFX, PDA-stuff and GPS...

    But it's clearly going to be as successful as the Neo-Geo at best, apparently the OpenSource scene like it because the company is going to encourage home-brew games, but with new handhelds by sony and Nintendo at the moment, it seems fairly irrelevant.

    yeah it is pretty class and probably would be able to compete if they were to get titles like need for speed etc but sadly it wont.
