The only bands I've heard much about on that list are 66e, Delorentos and Republic Of Loose......The only one I'd go back to see is Delorentos.
My List (In no particular order):

    Berkeley
    Giveamanakick
    Ten Past Seven
    Fighting With Wire
    Moutpiece

Mmmm. I can't make it as far as 10. I could blame my school teachers or the local music scene...

It's often hard to take these lists seriously due to frequent self-interest.

There are so many that I am partial to (but in an impartial way :) ).

In no particular order, the standouts for me are

    Delorentos
Tadhg Cooke (not a band but has a band..)
    Mocrac
    Dry County
    66e
    Chuzzle
Pugwash (though they just don't make themselves visible enough..) (And some might consider them to be a little beyond up-and-coming)
Bigwig (if they'd ever leave their comfort zone..)

No doubt there are others that just aren't popping to the frontal lobes at the moment.

Pugwash? You have to be fúckin jokin. I've never seen such pish. Thought they died of years ago :(

Yeh I wouldnt be mad on Pugwash. I like Tadhg Cooke's new album. He seems really genuine and very different to other singer-songwriters from Ireland. I'm not mad on Chuzzle...They come accross as up there own arses. But I like wat Roxy has come up with though!

Not joking for a second. Superb melodies. Some absolutely fantastically catchy summery poppy moments. Played Crawdaddy 3 days ago so there's life in the ol dog yet..

    the rotators

Oh god yes, The Rotators. Kinda wouldn't classify as an up-and-coming band for me though. They're kinda takin some sort of side road where the view is nicer and the landscape hasn't been ruined by tourists. It's a good road. Mightn't lead anywhere but no one knows....

The Rotators will get somwhere when Dave Gerraghty realises BELLX1 are ****e!

Mainline* ~ will reserve judgement for the moment, not sure bout them, seem good
Polar ~ cool guys, cool band
The Rags ~ pretty good music, seem like dickheads

Funny how most of my list has ended up in this category! They're really not that obscure to most people...

BigWig are the main offshoot of LiR. (I trust you HAVE heard of LiR, yes? :) . www.bigwigmusic.com

Chuzzle, fair enough, he and the band haven't really made much of an impact yet but if you ever see them live then you won't forget them. Myles Dungan is a big fan... :) Debut single in June. www.chuzzle.com

Mocrac is a chap called Maurice Ferriter and his band. He released his first album a little while back and it's kinda Dimitri from Paris (the lighter stuff) meets Serge Gainsbourg. Cathy Davey and Matt lunson feature on the album. www.mocrac.com

Pugwash - ah here. You can't have listened to Phantom without knowing Pugwash. Chances are you know a couple of their songs without realising it.
    www.pugwashtheband.com

Tadhg Cooke - another Phantom favourite. Just released debut album, has toured with Bellx1 (including supporting them on their last Olympia outing) and he's been getting nothing but rave reviews from all corners - The Ticket even said he was enviable. www.tadhgcooke.com

Now, all the links are there so you can plead ignorance no more!
