Im making a website at the moment using xHTML with CSS (cascading style sheets) in Dreamweaver MX. Im making a website at the moment using xHTML with CSS (cascading style sheets) in Dreamweaver MX.

Im having a problem though, the css attributes for anything background colour wont show up on the page at all. I redefined the 'body' tag with the css for the bg colour but it wont show up. Annoyingly it works fine in HTML 4, but not xHTML. Both are transitional, any ideas what might be wrong?

Btw, the other attributes in 'body' such as text and text colour work fine.

Post the relevant css, or a link to the stylesheet if it's online.
