    While talking to someone in Tang last night, it was mentioned that Abbeyshrule are holding an airshow on 22nd May to celebrate their 50th birthday. Confirmed so far for the event are the Irish Air Corps and the Red Arrows.

    For anyone interested, but without a clue where Abbeyshule is, it's in Co.Longford between Mullingar and Ballymahon and about half an hour north of Athlone.

    Delighted bout that. The last airshow there was a few years ago,thought they were finished for good.this one should be good so.

    If it's anything like previous shows it will be pay on entry. TBH you could just as well stand beside the canal or the Inny, the view would be as good.

    The tickets are available thru ticketmaster. Should be a good day out with a bit of luck. :cool:
