at the top there is a white space beside the title of each page which will hold a different wee flash animation each time. simple ones prolly black and white/ grey and white. any opinions greatly appreciated.

btw the news page will(fingers crossed) be asp driven although i aint tried to implement this into it yet.

looks good - but 2 points:

    1. I don't think the animation should loop. Once is fine, but the looping is distracting when reading the text.

    2. Perhaps you could implement it so that the main menu on the left only 'slides' into place once and is just there on consecutive page views?

    - and why the DHTML scroller? Nice and all as it is, why mess with what the user is used to? (the browsers' scrollbar)

Agree w/ Niall to a degree on that one.

I presume this is part of the scrolling layers script you got off "Virtual Geoff" ??
The scrolling layers are very good for small text bits or links or for say a pop-up w/ images. But as the main content on a page it can be a bit confusing for some!!
But if you are going to go down the scrolling layers route, you'd need to disable the main window scrollbar so ppl dont get further confused!!
If you look @ this you'll see how theres no scroll bar....

You may also want to make the mouseover scroll arrows stand out a little more as well !! You have to look a little for wher the controls are.

God it may sound like I'm castigating you- Sorry frown.gif

    However.....

The use of the flash menu is quite impressive. Possibly the "artemis" thing in the top left could only be animated as a mouseover- then let it zoom in from the left. It is a little distracting as a looping swf.

Overall its impressive though and will improve w/ some minor tweaks smile.gif

BTW Maybe you could give me a few tips on using flash. I d/loaded it the other day & I've barely got anything done yet. If anyone else knows any good tutorials send them my way!!
