Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The North and South are separate countries (like it or not).

Personally, I hope it never happens.

Norn Iron soccer is at a low. The south has little to gain so why bother?

    Answer - No.

    However,

An all Ireland soccer league with a big sponsorship deal would be more attractive for me tbh. One premier division and two regional divisions below that. There would be a lot more support for club level than national level.

and during the 80's when northern ireland were beating spain 1- 0 im sure we could have done with armstrong and co :)

i think its a good idea
but you know the main sticking point would be where should the home games be? belfast or dublin?

exactly, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland combined qualified for 4 world cups in a row (82, 86, 90, 94). They won't be 100th in the rankings forever and we probably won't be so high up ourselves for too long considering the size of our population.

The Republic had better players than the North even back in their haydays of 82-86. The problem was we couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery (either off or on the pitch) and the results showed.
