My mechanic told me that the mc19 is much easier to work on and hence would be cheaper to maintain, just wondering if there is much of a difference performance wise, I know the mc 22 has two disks on the front so aside from the fact that it might brake better is there any other big differences?

(p.s. I know they're only 250's but they'll hit the ton and are only in insurance group 5)

i think you meant MC19 and MC22 which are both jap imports and the last one is RR version.

service cost should the same but i would go for MC22 as was made from 1990-1998

I've owned both of these and neither are easier to work on.

Both are exactly the same performancewise the only real difference is the looks. IMHO the mc22 looks a million times better then the MC-19. MC-22's cost more than MC-19's and it is only down to looks.

The problem with these bikes are that they are all imports and so the parts for them cost a fortune, if you can even get them.

Head over to CBR250.com and talk to some of people there, I don't think it would be possible to own a CBR with out that forum.

I'd agree that the rr looks much better

Out of all these paintjobs the one's I've seen for sale in Ireland are
Blue/red/Grey (although I didn't see much blue but it's the one in the pic)
    Black/Bronze
    Black/Chrome
    Fireblade
    Red/Black

If I had my choice of any of them it'd be the copper black or the 99 two tone blue. I'd also like to see one with the candy red silver paint job.
