    is castrol gtx macnetic 5w-30 ok for my 95 mondeo 1.8 16v and should it have synthetic on the container or not thnx

    semi synth will be enough.


    any 5w30 oil with SH/A3-96 grade would be ok

    I use 10W30 semi synthetic with no problems.Just avoid any cheap Multigrade or fleet oils they will make your hydraulic tappetts very loud.
