    Folks

    Handy pointer for those of us using the latest version of webtext on Vodafone which has introduced an addressbook (admittedly long overdue):

    Its possible to import your existing contacts into Vodafone mail from a specially formatted CSV file.

    The only input format currently supports is Microsoft Outlook CSV.

    If you do not have your contacts in Microsoft Outlook you could try the following:

    - open Vodafone Mail
    - click preferences -> contacts
    - export contacts to a file.
    - open this file in a text editor (or your favourite spreadsheet application)
    - update this file with the contacts you want according to the field names
    - save the file and then select 'import contacts' in Vodafone mail naming the new file

    Note, for the purposes of Webtext, your mobile numbers will need to be in either the "Work Mobile" or "Home Mobile" fields.

    Additionally, for convenience if you assign a nickname in your contacts you can type these nicknames directly into the mobile fields in Webtext without having to scroll through your addressbook each time.

    Should save a bit of time typing it in by hand.
