    hi im getting my tongue pierced (finally) on friday hopefully!!
    just wondering how long can i expect not to talk properly/eat for?

    i'd give it a week at least,tongue does heal fast compared to most piercings tho...
    just stuff your face beforehand,go for your favourite meal or something. :D

    I really wanna get my tongue peirced too, I just don't think I could put myself through a week without being able to eat or talk properly. Is it worth it?

    Try getting braces or a retainer. Not being able to talk or eat properly for 18 months!

    PS Got my Eyebrow pierced today and loving it

    i went home and ate bacon and cabbage the day i got it done
    didnt give up drink or fags and it was grand, 2nd day it was hard to eat i was speaking perfect, hid it from my parents for a week, my 2nd tongue piercing[under the tongue] again had no bother, it depends on the person you never know you might not have a lisp at all...

    Ahh i gave it about 2 days before I could eat solid foods, I was on soup and popcorn for about 2 days straight though.
    I have to warn you,once you get your tongue pierced you'll get addicted to 'em, I know I did!
