    also ... Modify > Trace Bitmap ... this converts your image into a vector equivalent within Flash, but may take a lot of tweaking to get a decent result ...

    Edit it as in how?

    If you want to like draw on it, you create a new layer above it and do it there.

    If you mean scaling, rotating, etc. just select the object and right-click on it.
