Does anyone know anything about this dealer? Are they reputable? And if you have bought off them, what was the service like? The website doesn't give much company info...

    Website:
    http://www.redcowautos.ie

Looking at one of their cars at the moment.

buy the car not the dealer. check history/ milage, ring up the previous owner, check for even panel gaps/listen to the engine hot and cold/see if the car drives smoothly.
there is no such thing as an honest car dealer, clocked damaged cars are bought every day from main dealers. what hope do u have at independant dealers?

If its a freshly imported Japanese car, ask to see the auction sheet - if they don't have it, walk away. Have heard rumours that they buy accident damaged, or repaired cars and sell them on... with an auction sheet it makes it very difficult to hide this - the car will be graded on its condition at the time of sale in Japan.

If its already registered, then what Lomb said...

problem with red cow is most of their jap imports come through merlin, so save yourself a few quid and have a look at merlin of some of the companies down alexander road, i used to sell cars to the guy who owns it, and he was always a dodgy fecker, but aren't all dealers slightly shady. but as lomb said buy the car not the dealer.
