Question on 5.1 external sound card for laptop

Anyone have any opinions on the Create SB Live USB sound card? Since I bought the 5.1 speakers in Aldi last week, I have been looking around for an external sound card for the laptop. Any alternatives that are cheaper? I'm not looking for anything over the top, just for the odd DVD at the weekend.
