ah yes... delighted to see the good old buttery confirmed as the favourite! It so is the best... Pav is so pretentious. Rugby boys have never done it for me anyway... Shame there's no late licenses anymore though. Now those were the days!

pav pretentious? lmao , ain't been there since xmas when they did it up, but ffs its always been a kip, and a good laf of a kip

I'm sorry but its been pretentious for years, except for when the engineers take the place over - usually a laugh then. Tends to be packed with far more image conscious people than the buttery. The amount of guys I've seen there who obviously spend more getting there hair done than me. And as for some girls - please stop with the fake tan! We live in Irealnd - there's no shame in being pale!

I beg to differ on the last point! have made plenty of empty 6pack towers in the buttery - mostly with cans of Bavaria last year!

I dont mind tuborg actually - the only problem being that after my many many discussions involving "...can i have a proper glass as opposed to this ****e" i've gotten so used to drinking it out of the plastic cups that the one time they gave me a proper glass, it tasted wrong

anyhow, i like the buttery. mainly cus the only time i go drinking on college grounds is if i've just finished an assignment, or spent way too many hours working on something, so the buttery can be nice and quiet at times.

Actually, I'm kind of glad I don't drink in either of the TCD bars any more - I hate being inside the Pav, and the Buttery gets depressing after going there so often. That said, the Pav on a sunny afternoon is the best thing ever.

AFAIK,

somebody found what looked like a used condom, with semen etc. However, the chair of Durns has told me it wasn't seemed but some poster paint or glue or something. One of those things that are really funny at the time but kinda aren't the morning after.

AFAIK sex has occurred in the DURNS room (I've never had the urge, I like somewhere clean) but never ever ever have I seen/smelled/heard about used condoms. We've used dodgy cheap condoms bought in a market in Chinatown in some mysterious US city to turn one chap's hand into a flipper because the condoms were not safe for their traditional use.
