I just took this from http://www.ukclimbing.com/
Dai McFall and Hugh Garse, the original backers of the Ratho
Adventure Centre have purchased a quarry in Dublin's exclusive
Killiney address. With a view to repeating their original idea, they
plan to put a roof on this popular climbing destination turning it
into the premier climbing venue in the British Isles. Stating that
the lack of climbing facilities in Ireland combined with the current
popularity of Dublin amongst young Brits will make Dalkey Quarry a
popular destination for indoor sports climbing, "The roof will be the
biggest challenge", says McFall "After that the bolts can go in".
Garse follows "With hundreds of already established routes, turning
Dalkey into Europe's biggest indoor sports climbing crag was an
    obvious money spinner."

they had better not put some roof up in the quarry. what will it look like does anyone know?
i am not a climber, but i live opposite the quarry, and it will look horrible i reckon.

It would look horrible, but if you look at the second post in this thread, It states that it's quite a co-incidence that the announcement for the go-ahead of the project was April Fools Day. Also examine very closely the names of the two developers. If that's not enough, examine also the third post in the thread, that of the origional poster. Does the context of it not imply the report is in fact a spoof?
So either you are a fool for replying so hastilly to the initial news, or I have fallen into a trap that you laid out for me and I am a fool for stating the obvious.

lol, fair play to ye for replying man.
As far as I know tho, there are three parts to the quarry in dalkey, and only two of them are public property, and one bit of it is private property... not entirely sure tho.

but what is the story with Dai McFall??

The name Dai McFall came from a welsh guy I've climbed with. Seriously, I laughed myself silly when he told me his second name.
