    woow,

    using download accelerator plus, i got download speeds of almost 295k for 5 minutes. only for 5 minutes as the whole download completed that quickly, wow

    genius, i love my 2mb line

    That reading is from a bandwidth site and as others said it's already upgraded to 2mb. If u want to see that nice shiny 2mb number goto ur router page and check it out. Here's mine @ 3, /hurrah!

    I am on iolbroadband I had 512/128 now I have 1024/128 I was told the 128 was to go to 256 but it hasn't, are iol tec support filling me full of it are will this change aswell in time, and are anyone else on dsl getting a upload more than 128

    Phew... Thought it was just me. Im getting the exact same problem. Maxing aout about 250KB from any site, ftp.heanet.ie, ftp.esat.net etc.. Eircom better fix this prob. I know distance aint a problem as im 100m from the exchange

    Stop using irishisptest.com for evaluation of your speeds.

    Download a 20MB or so from an Irish server to get a better idea of your true speed as 2/3/4mbit lines take longer than 512k lines to reach max velocity.

    Think about it....1mbyte can be downloaded now in 5 seconds with a 2mbit line.
    A 4mbit connection will download it in 2.5 seconds.

    Most hard drives arent even spinning fast even in 3 seconds to give a correct reading.

    I have or did have the standard Clicksilver 512k/128k 8GB Cap just checked the settings in my router as I noticed a speed increase.

    its reading 2048 down 128 up eg 2MB / 128K ? bit odd no ?
