This is great isn't it... while the rest of Ireland is out getting pissed and meeting women, we're sitting here drooling over our DSL connections.
Although I was out already tonight, I'm actually having more fun here.

Please post your results in this format

    Your ISP / package
    ping to www.jolt.co.uk
Area - how far are you from the exchange
when were you upgraded - well that's a no brainer
    and take this TEST

and then wrep your results in
tags so it looks like this
    Your ISP / package
    ping to www.jolt.co.uk
Area - how far are you from the exchange
when were you upgraded - well that's a no brainer
    and take this TEST

    Thank You!

I'm with UTV (Clicksilver Plus) and I've just been bumped up to 1Mbit (in Galway City). Are there any Clicksilver Plus users out there who've been bumped to 2Mbit (which I was expecting to see).

And tell me if they have changed.

yes, but don't forget that they will downgrade you back till monday, so the chance is that maybe they already upgraded you to 1 or 2 megs and then downgraded you

Yeah but you never know what they will do with the interleaving. They could actually higher it to get more people on 2meg without errors appearing

Who says they will downgrade us? I don't see it anywhere on the eircom site or anywhere else. The fact that they mention the 4th would be the cut off period for upgrading everyone. Upgrading and then downgrading all in the one day would be alot of work for nothing. They won't be downgrading.

I've been bumped to 1Mbit/s on UTV Clicksilver.

I'm more concerned about the possibility of an increased cap though.

Is it possible that there's more than one exchange covering Lucan?
