    Hi guys

Looking at buying my first car and have a somewhat limited budget, hoping around the €4000 mark. Have my eye on a few car but mainly these are private sales. Would like to but form a dealer but generally very hard to find cars in my price bracket. One salesman said that the bigger more specialised dealers (mongey plunket, denis mahony, etc) wouldnt really keep such cars and that i would be better of at a privatly owned trader. Is this true? Are these places reputable or is there some cowboys about (heard a few stories). Does anybody know some good reputable places?
    Thanks
    SM

I saw a 02 Ibiza for 6000 in a dealers yard opposite merlin motors a couple of weeks ago. Are you working full time???

    are you working full time???

you will bloody well need to be to pay the sort of extortionate interest on a car from one of the merlin type supermarkets... and DO NOT trust the condition of the cr have it independantly assesed if you dont know motors very well

Thats the thing leaving job at end of month and nothing lined up, hence the budget. (and i know leaving a job to go to nothing is kinda mad but staying would drive (no pun) me mad) 6000 a little more than i wanted to spend.

A deal with no trade in? Is that if you pay cash?
On that note, do any dealers take motorbikes as a trade in. Have to get rid of the one i have.
