Is anyone using a broadband speed indicator that they would recommend?

    Features I would like

    1. Free
    2. Sits beside the clock - unobtrusive
    3. Shows actual speed continuously
    4. Can create a log/graph if required.

    Thanks in advance :o

I would recommend Bandwidth Monitor Pro, it keeps track of your monthly usage as well.

Net Meter...there's a few versions but I think this is the one I used to use

Although its not free I also recommend DU Meter

DU Meter aint free, but has free trials and i found it to do exactly what you ask. Discreet and effective, also keeps monthly totals if your connection has a cap. Also - very low overhead.

$19.95 on their web site- http://www.dumeter.com/register.php

Net Meter is just a stripped down version of DU meter, i find it very very good.

I agree with Blindpew Bandwidth Monitor Pro is the best program you can get, full of options and easy to setup. I dont think its freeware but sure there are always ways around that ;)

Just go to download.com and download a file about 20/30 mg and this will download as fast as your net connection.

So if your using Du meter there will be a graph stating how fast ur dling at the moment and that is usually the max you can dl...
