The only thing I can think of is if you want to play UMD movies buy a JPN one. USA PSP's will not work with european Movies.

    www.videogamesplus.ca
    www.play-asia.com
    www.lik-sang.com

No, you can change the actual interface on the PSP to many languages but you can't change anything within the games. There's a lot of English anyhow in most of them, and if you're still stuck have a look here for an FAQ.

I never heard that now about the colours. I think i will get Need For speed with it aswell instead of Ridge Racer. I have been reading a few reviews on it

Will you stop saying that

They were rumours going around before the US launch and were debunked.

I've ordered a PSP an Wipeout Pure from www.dvdboxoffice.com for €255 with free courier shipping. Only thing with them is that they take forever to send stuff. It's been a week, and their customer service is terrible. They haven't replied to any of my e-mails.

The US screen on the PSP is identical to the Japanese one.

Oh and as far as I've read Need For Speed is terrible in comparison to Ridge Racers. Whatever you may have thought about the older Ridge Racer games Ridge Racers on the PSP is without a doubt absolute excellence.

Need for Speed Underground's graphics arent as good, it's supposed to be slow and the handling is nowhere near as sensitive as it is on RR is what I've read on numerous sites. I loved NFSU 1 but I decided not to get it after watching videos and reading reviews. RR also has night levels if that's what your after but overall it does way better in all the reviews.

I have ordered it from http://www.ncsxshop.com and it says in the box it has • AC Adapter (120V to 240V compatible for use in USA/EUROPE/ASIA) will I need to buy a converter/ step down?

So it is ready to use straight out of the box?

thew screen is supposed to be slightly brighter on the Japanese PSP, but Im not sure it such a big difference

    i now have wipeout pure
    spiderman 2
    tiger woods.
All 3 are excellent, tiger woods is as good if not better than ps2 version, the only downside is the load times for it (can be 25-30 seconds between holes)
Mercury and Fifa 2005 on preorder

Does anyone know what the deal with the PSP is in US stores? In other words, are you able to walk into any old store and pick up a PSP, or is it an "out of stock" situation everywhere? I know I had the same problem with the DS back in December, even though it was the frantic Christmas period.

I have a relative going over there next month, may ask her to pick one up.

plenty left in the outlying stores in the US from what im reading on IGN message boards. The major cities would be mostly out of stock, but if you go to small towns outside the cities they will have them. Most of the specialist game shops there like EB, Gamestop etc only got enough to cover their preorders, while large stores like WalMart , Best Buy etc got 200-300 each and still have some left. They are impossible to find in LA though

order any future games from ncsxshop.com
I cancelled my preorder for mercury and fifa with videogamesplus, changed to ncsx. They seem way more professional, they respond to emails really fast and their postage is really fast. And they seem cheaper than vg+ for some games also.
