    Am about to start ordering stuff for my new system, and i'm looking at my cooling options. Basically i use my computer for internet & games, and am into a bit of the overclocking.

    Components i'm using are;

    Case : Thermaltake kandalf VA9000
    PSU : Akasa 460W PaxPower
    Mobo: DFi LanParty 925X-T2
    CPU : Pentium 4 - 3.4GHZ
    RAM : 2 x 512mb Mushkin Level 1 PC5400
    GFX : ATi X800XT
    HDD : 2 x 120GB Seagates in RAID 0

    I'm looking at cooling the CPU and GFX card either through good quality air, or water.

    This has been my train of thought so far...

    Water interests me more then air. What i was thinking was get a 120mm rad kit, and use that for CPU, then get another 90mm rad kit (cos the case has a 90mm fan slot) for the gfx card, but i can't find any kits with 90mm rads.

    So then i saw double 80mm rad kits, and thought nice one, i'll get one of those in 120mm flavour, but i cant find any, just double rad kits, they're just one big long rad, which i dont want.

    Then i was looking at just getting a 120mm rad kit, and just adding in another 120mm rad into the loop. But would the pump cope with the extra rad? or maybe not..

    Then i started looking into custom kits. I like the look of those 5 1/2" resevoirs and the big chunky pipes. Has anyone any help with doing up a custom kit that would suit the above requirements?

    Thanks

    Saw this

    You CANNOT use a PC Power Supply to power both your PC and your Pelt. Non exist that are strong enough and you WILL damage your system if you try it. At a push you can get away with using a 520 or 550w psu to power the PELT ON IT'S OWN, but it generally won't last long, and will under-power the pelt. Proper PSUs are available from Meanwell and other companies (see swiftech's website at www.swiftnets.com) and cost around £100. You MUST ensure that the PSU used can provide adequate WATTAGE and AMPAGE. These are the 2 crucial factors. You can run a 15v Pelt on 12v quite happily, it just won't perform as well as it would on 15v. BUT if you use a PSU that can't provide the correct ampage then eventually that PSU will blow, or the Pelt will.
